Decode: Digital Design Sensations

8 Dec 2009–11 Apr 2010<br>V&amp;A, London

‘Decode: Digital Design Sensations’ promises to be a blockbuster for the new decade. Curated by Louise Shannon and Onedotzero’s Shane Walter, the show pulls together many strands of design and art, including work from Daniel Brown, Casey Reas, Troika, Fabrica, Golan Levin with Greg Baltus, Random International, Daan Roosegaarde, Simon Heijdens and Daniel Rozin, known for his motorised interactive ‘mirrors’, including his 2007 Weave Mirror.

There is also a Jason Bruges installation in the John Madejski garden. The show is divided into three broad themes: Code as Raw Material; Interactivity; and The Network.

A parallel exhibition, ‘Digital Pioneers’ includes items from the V&A’s newly acquired collections of early computer-generated art and design, including work by Roman Verostko and Paul Brown. Andrew Robertson
